Meet our Staff

Rhett Richardson

Rhett has been a Certified Arborist since 1990 (#WE-0966) and founded Solano Shade in 1994. He is a recognized leader in the Tree Care Industry having served 2 terms as the president of the California Arborists Association.

Yvan Smith

Yvan is our veteran associate with over 10 years experience, 7 years with Solano Shade. Yvan is an ISA Certified Arborist (#WE-7047A). He has demonstrated proficiency in every aspect of providing tree services, but is now dedicated to arboricultural consulting and job estimating.

Katherine Smith

Katherine is the friendly voice you hear when you call our office. She will schedule your estimate and service appointments and also handles invoices and payments. She is an experienced horticulturalist who can answer many of your questions or connect you with further resources if needed.

Darrell Frost

Darrell has been with Solano Shade since 2004. He is competent in every phase of our operation, but you’re most likely to meet him when stump grinding, air spade or tractor services are needed on your property. He is also an ISA Certified Tree Worker (# WE-1703C).
